Job Description
This is a position with the Indian Health Service
Responsibilities:
Provide dental services including exams, restorative treatments, oral health education, and preventive care.
Diagnose and treat patients within professional scope and IHS standards.
Assist in patient care processes, ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and IHS standards.
Complete and maintain patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Dental Record (EDR).
Comply with Joint Commission and CMS standards in a culturally competent manner.
Participate in quality assurance activities and adhere to IHS and service unit policies.
Qualifications:
Certification from an accredited program or relevant on-the-job experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience.
BLS certification and preferred radiology certification
Requirements:
Background check and character investigation as per the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.
Credentialing and fingerprinting required before staring.
Ability to work in Remote Areas and travel if necessary, with weather-related travel challenges expected at some locations.
Work Hours:
Varies by location; typically Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with some locations requiring flexibility for longer shifts.
