Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while promoting oral health and hygiene. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with patients to ensure they receive the highest standard of dental care in a friendly and professional environment.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations on patients, ensuring a high level of patient comfort.
Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate recommendations for treatment or further care.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments using dental terminology.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Assist in the management of patient care, including scheduling appointments and maintaining a clean dental clinic.
Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
Work collaboratively with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including pediatrics and general dentistry.
Skills
Proficient in medical coding and understanding of dental terminology.
Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on empathy and communication.
Knowledge of infection control practices relevant to the dental field.
Ability to perform patient assessments effectively.
Experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with general dentistry practices.
Excellent organizational skills for maintaining medical records and managing patient information.
