We are seeking a positive team player with a pleasant professional character and warm chairside manner. Full-Time employees have the option of a 4-or 5-day work week.
Candidates should be qualified as Dental Assistant II (DAII) as demonstrated by the NC State Board of Dental Examiners regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews daily schedule to set up appropriate dental equipment, trays and instruments
Performs patient triage and initiates patient care as appropriate under the supervision of the dentist
Takes x-rays (when applicable)
Works alongside the dentist during patient examinations
Develops individualized treatment plans for patients as diagnosed by dentist
Takes dental impressions study models/cases (when applicable)
Records and reports pertinent observations and patient reactions in Dentrix
Communicates clinical information to Treatment Coordinators when needed
Prepares, updates information and educates patients per doctor’s instructions prior to discharge
Collects necessary payment for treatment performed
Makes patient telephone calls to specialists when needed and schedules follow-up appointments
