We are looking to hire an Dental Hygienist with Pediatric experience to join our amazing dental team. We have 2 locations, 1 in Damascus, MD and other in Frederick, MD. Looking to hire for Wednesday 11-7pm shift in Damascus, MD. Additional shifts may become available as practice grows. Assistants available for help, great team of professionals, fantastic patient base. We are not a corporate. Frederick office recently renovated, kid centered, with brand new equipment. Damascus office opened 3 years ago, cutting edge tech like Solea laser, intra-oral camera, conscious sedation and much more. Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays or dental impressions
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies
Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment

Qualifications and Skills required

Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA, OSHA)
Current CPR certification
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Experience with Open Dental and iDentalsoft would be useful
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Valid RDH license to practice in Maryland is a must
Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, dental codes, equipment, and practice

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
