Pantops Prosthodontics is hiring a Dental Team Member interested in experiencing first-hand the daily procedures involved with working in a specialized dental office. We are located in the Pantops area of Charlottesville, VA. We have various opportunities available to join us at our growing practice.

REQUIREMENTS: You must have a minimum of 1 years dental assisting, or customer service experience.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES:

Assists the doctor utilizing comprehensive four and six-handed dentistry techniques.
Selects proper instruments and tray set-ups.
Accurately records findings of examinations for doctor, completes images using appropriate techniques and follows infection control standards.
Receives and triages patients and notifies doctor of patient status as needed.
Assists in the dental treatment of patients to include seating the patient, reviewing the medical history with the patient and reporting to the doctor any changes from the previous visit and the reason for the current visit.
Takes, develops and mounts intra and extra oral radiographs used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Prepares patient for procedures and assists the doctor by passing instruments, having necessary equipment on hand, providing suction and retraction.
Mixes dental materials and monitors the patient's vital signs and comfort level throughout the procedure.
Pour models in our in-house lab
Cleans, sterilizes, and assembles instruments and equipment throughout the day.
Requisitions supplies equipment and maintains a well-stocked operatory.
Maintains clinic and lab appearance and monitors area for any safety violation.

Surgical and Prosthetic procedures are performed routinely, allowing the applicant to become part of a team who puts their patients’ care and safety first in every aspect of dentistry!
