OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing preventive dental services, and educating patients on oral health. This role requires a strong commitment to patient assessment and care, as well as proficiency in various dental procedures and technologies.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and vital sign checks.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the dental office.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software and ensure compliance with medical coding and terminology standards.
Adhere to aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency.

Skills

Proficiency in general dentistry practices and procedures.
Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and patient care protocols.
Experience in a dental office setting, with a focus on patient assessment and assisting during procedures.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records effectively.
Understanding of medical coding and terminology related to dental practices.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
