Dental Hygienist - RiverPark Dental - Plainsboro, NJ

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient education, and effective communication skills to promote oral health.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed for diagnosis.
Assist in the management of infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Document patient treatment plans and progress in the electronic health record system (Dentrix).
Monitor vital signs and assess patients' overall health as it relates to oral care.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office and treatment areas.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and continuing education requirements.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with aseptic technique, infection control protocols, and medical terminology.
Experience in dental assisting is a plus, along with proficiency in using Dentrix software.
Ability to perform medical imaging procedures effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Commitment to providing compassionate care while ensuring patient comfort during procedures.

Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
