We are currently seeking a compassionate, energetic, and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing practice.
Position Summary: The Pediatric Dental Assistant will play a key role in ensuring our young patients have a comfortable and enjoyable experience during their dental visits. This position involves assisting dentists during procedures, providing patient education, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring a calm and friendly atmosphere.
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including cleanings, sealants, fillings, and other treatments.
Take and process X-rays as needed.
Sterilize instruments and maintain the cleanliness of operatories.
Educate patients and their families about proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Record patient information and update charts accurately and efficiently.
Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials.
Support a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, but not required.
Pennsylvania radiology certification (required for taking X-rays).
PA Act153 Clearances (Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations Criminal History Clearance).
