Our hygiene team is growing and we are searching for a talented Dental Hygienist to add to our current dental team. Someone who works well with fellow team members and the doctor is ideal! We are looking for someone with a passion for dentistry, excellent communication skills, and with a friendly and welcoming chairside manner. Our ideal candidate gets to know their patients by active-listening and has the ability to read non-verbal cues to adjust care accordingly. The right candidate must deliver only the best care for our patients!
Preferred candidate has 2 years hygiene experience. Although hygiene experience is a bonus, we will gladly consider a new graduate to come and learn with us as well! Welcoming someone who can excel at the following responsibilities:
ââ Punctual, present, and participates at daily morning huddles.
ââ Records, documents and reviews patient dental/medical histories.
ââ Examines mouth, teeth, gums, or related facial structures visually and uses probes to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease.
ââ Exposes diagnostic digital x-rays with use of NOMAD and PANORAMIC. Aids in patient diagnosis with use of intra-oral photos and ITERO Lumina scanner.
ââ Charts conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis of and treatment planning future treatment by the dentist.
ââ Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments.
ââ Performs secondary intra and extra-oral cancer screening.
ââ Provides clinical services or health education to improve & maintain patients' oral health.
ââ Maintains dental equipment and sterilizes dental instruments.
ââ Applies fluoride and/or sealants or other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
ââ Administers anesthetics or sedatives to control pain (if licensed).
ââ Familiar with basic dental assistant protocols and maintains patient-recare system.
ââ Operates diagnostic or therapeutic dental instruments or equipment
ââ Adheres to all practice safety rules including OSHA Hazard Communication Standards and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards and HIPAA regulations.
*Must have Dental Hygiene License*
This is a PART TIME position with the opportunity to transition to FULL TIME hours. Our current hours of operation are as follows:
ââ Monday: 7:00AM - 4:30PM
ââ Tuesday: 8:30AM - 6:00PM
ââ Wednesday: 7:30AM - 12:30 PM OR 4:30PM (Every other Wed half day)
ââ Thursday: 9:30AM - 7:00PM
ââ Friday: OFF (Future Hours Negotiable)
