OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dentists and hygienists to support various procedures and maintain a welcoming environment for patients.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Perform chairside dental assisting duties, including suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient positioning.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure infection control protocols are followed, including sterilization of instruments and maintaining a clean work environment.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with appropriate techniques tailored for younger patients.
Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in general dentistry practices.

Qualifications

1+ years of dental assisting experience.
X-ray Certified
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards is essential.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
Proficiency in using dental software, particularly SoftDent is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to demonstrate aseptic techniques during procedures.
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
