Job Description

An-established dentist owned dental practice is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join the practice on a full-time or part-time basis, to help treat patients, promote good oral health practices, and exhibit exceptional customer care. We offer a competitive salary and a positive & friendly culture.
Responsibilities include:

Take X-rays or dental impressions
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
Educate patients of all ages on proper oral care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Monitor supplies and sterilize dental instruments.
Make recalls for regular prophylaxis (prohy).

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:

Preferrably at least one year of proven experience as a Dental Hygienist (fresh graduates will also be considered)
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (OSHA, HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient friendly personality
Valid license to practice in the State of Illinois.
Good hands-on experience with Dentrix Ascend would be a plus.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $39.00 - $49.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
