Red Sails Dental in Biloxi, MS is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and professional environment. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy on patients.
Assess patient oral health by reviewing medical records, taking vital signs, and conducting oral examinations.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care,
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards within the dental clinic.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and improve overall clinic operations.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with infection control procedures and protocols.
Proficiency in taking medical imaging as needed for patient assessments.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a focus on patient care.
Experience with medical records management is an asset.
