Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
Assist in medical imaging procedures as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients.
Collaborate with dentists in treatment planning and provide assistance during procedures when necessary.
Work with pediatric patients, adapting communication styles to ensure their comfort during visits.

Qualifications

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in medical coding and understanding of vital signs is preferred.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with medical records management systems is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
Attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 32 per week
Schedule:

Experience:

Medical records: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

CPR Certification (Preferred)
