Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures- Take and develop dental x-rays- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform dental charting and documentation in the electronic health record system (Epic)- Assist with patient assessment and medical history- Perform basic medical coding for dental procedures- Assist with pediatric dental procedures- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Skills:- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, such as Dentrix- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures- Familiarity with medical coding practices- Ability to work well in a team environment- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus

One year Dental Assisting Experience Preferred
Nitrous Oxide Certification Preferred
Bilingual Spanish Speaking is a plus
Dentrix experience is a plus

Please Note: Salary depends on certifications and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
