Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure infection control protocols are followed at all times.
Monitor vital signs when necessary and provide appropriate care for pediatric patients.

Skills

Proficiency in managing medical records and conducting patient assessments.
Familiarity with Dentrix or Eaglesoft software for patient management.
Experience with pediatrics is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental procedures is an asset.
Ability to perform vital sign checks and maintain patient comfort during treatments.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure safety in the clinical environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
