Job Description

Florence Family Dentistry is looking for a patient-focused dental hygienist to join our team of enthusiastic and experienced professionals. We are looking for a personable hygienist who excels in patient care and educates their patients on good oral health practices. As a member of our team, one would be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. One should also have knowledge of relevant health and safety rules with a good eye for oral anomalies. Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check medical/oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
Perform routine treatment procedures, such as prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, periodontal maintenance, polishing, application of sealants and fluoride
Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene
Take X-rays, iTero scans
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Inventory hygiene supplies

Skills

Licensed Dental Hygienist - Anesthesia license a plus
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
Outgoing, friendly personality
Attention to detail
Proficient computer skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week
