Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and other team members to deliver exceptional service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our patients.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.
Manage appointment scheduling, including patient follow-ups as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sterilized according to established protocols.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
Support the front office with dental receptionist duties as required, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Requirements
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with general dentistry practices.
Experience with endodontics procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques is a plus, particularly experience with 3D scanners.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and office systems.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate care to patients.
Certification in CPR or First Aid is highly desirable.
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
