Responsibilities

Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations.
Conduct dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize medical imaging techniques as necessary for diagnostic purposes.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Support the dental team through four-handed dentistry practices during procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the practice's systems.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Knowledge of dental assisting practices is advantageous.
Familiarity with infection control procedures and patient assessment techniques.
Proficiency in medical imaging technologies related to dental care.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.
