Job SummaryOur team oriented office in the heart of Somerville is seeking a star dental hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide quality care and oral hygiene services to our patients, ensuring their dental health is maintained at the highest level.
Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments and take vital signs- Perform dental cleanings and assist with general dentistry procedures- Document medical and dental histories accurately- Take and develop dental x-rays using medical imaging equipment- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques- Assist with pediatric patients in a friendly and compassionate manner- Maintain and update patient medical records using Eaglesoft software- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient care
Skills- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and recording vital signs- Knowledge of dental office procedures and practices- Experience in medical documentation and maintaining accurate records- Familiarity with medical imaging equipment for capturing dental x-rays- Ability to assist with general dentistry procedures as needed- Strong understanding of pediatric dental care and patient interaction- Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus- Proficiency in Dentrix software for managing patient records is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
