Job Description
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide quality care to our patients and assist the dental team in delivering excellent oral health services.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct dental cleanings and assist dentists during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Maintain accurate patient medical records following HIPAA guidelines
- Use aseptic techniques to ensure infection control
- Provide assistance in pediatric dental care
- Utilize medical terminology effectively
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar medical systems for patient management
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy protection
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus
- Ability to take and interpret dental X-rays
- Competency in aseptic techniques for infection control
- Familiarity with medical imaging processes
- Skill in assisting dentists during procedures
- Understanding of medical terminology used in dental practice
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical record systems
