OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, utilizing dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop X-rays as per the dentist's instructions, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care, including educating patients on oral hygiene practices.
Operate dental systems such as Opendental for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials when necessary.
Demonstrate knowledge of dental anatomy to assist in various clinical tasks.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with familiarity in a dental clinic setting.
Proficient in dentistry techniques and comfortable working with various dental tools and equipment.
Knowledge of X-ray procedures and safety regulations is essential.
Experience with Opendental or similar dental management software is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
A solid understanding of dental anatomy is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
