Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists in providing quality dental care to patients. This position offers an opportunity to work along side competent and kind doctors. We offer a competitive salary based on experience. We can offer a 4 or 5 day work week. Mon-Thurs 9-5 and Friday 9-3. Experienced dental assistants with a current xray license only.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing the necessary tools and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and other administrative tasks using dental software such as Eaglesoft.
Assist with pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding during visits.
Perform basic laboratory tasks related to prosthodontics as required.
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and patient assessment.
Familiarity with 3D scanning technology for dental imaging.
Experience in a dental receptionist role is advantageous.
Understanding of infection control practices within a clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry.
Ability to work effectively with children in a pediatric setting.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
