Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pedodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical records systems, and aseptic techniques, as well as the ability to assist chairside. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and effective four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for procedures.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, utilizing 3D scanners when applicable.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans as directed by the dentist.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to ensure optimal patient flow within the practice.
Collaborate with the dental team to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Experience
Previous experience as a Pediatric Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with dental terminology and medical records systems is essential.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices is highly desirable.
Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $22.86 - $23.65 per hour
