Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and record vital signs, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by reviewing patient histories and conducting assessments.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Apply aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment during all dental procedures.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.
Stay updated on dental terminology, medical coding, and advancements in dental hygiene practices.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques and procedures.
Experience or familiarity with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in dental terminology and medical coding is advantageous.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols.
