Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and ready for use.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Manage patient records using dental systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
Proficiency in medical terminology, dental terminology, and dental coding is preferred.
Experience with imaging techniques.
Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and recording procedures.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
Ability to pay attention to detail.
