Job Description
Seeking a registered dental assistant for a private practice dental office in Solana Beach, CA. Looking for someone who is caring, self-motivated, and friendly. We are a fee for service/PPO based dental practice and focus on providing a great experience for our patients. We provide general/cosmetic dentistry services along with IV sedation for patients. Unlike most practices, we only run one chair at a time so patients have the best experience possible and almost never wait. We do not run 3 chairs and go from room to room trying to stay on schedule. Dental, medical, 401k, PTO, STO offered.
We are looking for someone to work either full time (4 days/week) or part time (2-3 days/week). Office hours are Monday-Wednesday, 8-5, Thursday, 8-2, and closed Friday. Pay is hourly and based on experience. Candidates with 3+ years experience is preferred but not necessary, must be willing to learn.
Job Duties:
Preparing patients and operatories for dental work
Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures
Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary
Providing great patient care
Recording treatment information in patient records (examples include documenting patient existing restorations, documenting patient information like BP, pulse, updates in medical history, etc.)
Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment
Caring for dental equipment
Forming preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts
Fabricating temporary restorations/crowns
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
