Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled, West Virginia Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. This is a temporary position for the month of December. This position is only 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday.The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and committed to providing exceptional dental hygiene services and must be proficient in taking x-rays. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental care practices. Your expertise in infection control, patient assessment, and general dentistry will be essential in ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Utilize medical imaging technologies to capture high-quality digital radiographs as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Valid West Virginia state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry principles and practices.
Proficiency in infection control measures and protocols.
Familiarity with digital x-ray imaging equipment and techniques.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
