Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Surgical Dental Assistant to join our thriving dental practice in our newly-renovated space.
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 25 - 32 hours per week.
Compensation: Competitive pay $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience.

Your Role as Surgical Dental Assistant:
As a Surgical Assistant, you will assist our experienced periodontist directly and will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring that our dental practice runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting the dentist during periodontal surgical procedures.
Sterilizing and preparing dental instruments.
Setting up/cleaning, preparing, and breaking down exam rooms
Educating patients on oral hygiene and pre- and post-operative care.
Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring patient comfort.

Qualifications:
To be a successful candidate, you should:

Hold a current and valid Dental Assistant certification.
Demonstrate dental assisting experience of at least 1 year in a specialty periodontal or oral surgery practice (required).
Have valid X-ray Certification (preferred).
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate a commitment to patient care and comfort.
Be a team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
