Dental Hygienist - Aurora Dental Wellness - Portage, IN

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify oral health issues and develop personalized treatment plans.- Clean teeth and perform scaling and polishing procedures to prevent periodontal disease.- Administer local anesthesia to patients as needed.- Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and demonstrations to promote good oral health practices.- Monitor patients' vital signs during dental procedures.- Document medical records and dental histories in our electronic medical records system, Epic.- Utilize CAD technology to create custom dentures and other oral appliances.- Maintain a thorough understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.- Participate in medical coding to ensure accurate billing and insurance claims.- Work closely with dentists to ensure seamless patient care and develop strong relationships with patients.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.- Experience in a dental office environment.- Proficiency in patient assessment and vital sign monitoring.- Familiarity with medical records and medical coding.- Ability to administer local anesthesia and perform scaling and polishing procedures.- Experience with CAD technology.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of oral health and hygiene.
