We are a growing busy practice looking for a competent dental assistant who has a team orientated approach and is a team player. Applicant must be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. You should be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care. Deep knowledge and understanding of general dentistry procedures is a must.
Responsibilities

Welcome and prepare patients for treatments ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the operatories clean and well-stocked
Maintain accurate patient records
Weekly cleaning of the office

Skills

Proven experience as dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Capable of capturing digital X-rays and digital scans
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Well-organized and reliable
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks is a plus
Accurate note taking and good computer skills
Exceptional communication and people skills
Attention to detail
High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
Additional certification or training is an asset

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 31 per week
