We are seeking an experienced Dental Surgery Assistant to join our dynamic periodontic team in Agawam, MA. As a vital member of our periodontic team, you will provide critical support in both preoperative and postoperative phases, ensuring that our patients receive unparalleled periodontal services. Schedule:
Monday - Thursday
1 Friday per month
Responsibilities:
Preparing patient charts, recording treatment plans, and updating dental records
Operating X-ray and 3D scanning equipment and developing radiographs for diagnostic purposes
Preparing and sterilizing periodontal instruments, materials, and equipment following infection control and biohazard protocols
Assisting the periodontist with all chairside procedures, including operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanup
Preparing patients for periodontal procedures and monitoring vital signs during treatments
Providing patients with information on periodontal health care, treatment plans, and postoperative care instructions
Monitoring and ordering supplies for periodontal treatments as required
Maintaining instruments and equipment to ensure optimal operation
Performing other duties and tasks as periodically assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Certified dental assistant program (preferred)
1+ years of dental surgical assisting experience
Radiography certification
CPR Certified
