OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the dental office. Duties- Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures.- Prepare treatment rooms by throughly sterilizing the operatory and the instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for use.- Maintain aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.- Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene practices.- Manage patient records, including medical documentation, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.- Perform infection control procedures according to established protocols.- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and documentation purposes.- Assist with medical coding for insurance purposes when required.- Demonstrate knowledge of dental anatomy to provide accurate assistance during treatments.
Qualifications- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance is essential.- Knowledge of dental anatomy is highly desirable.- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus.- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient care.- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
