Duboff Dentistry
Dear Fellow Hygienists,
We may or may not have crossed paths over the years in or outside the field of dentistry. Itââ¬â¢s always a possibility especially if you have grown up in this town, like me. I am writing you this note in hopes of extending my gratitude for what this profession has provided me in the last 20+ years to the colleagues, patients and friends I have met along the way. When I moved back to Rutland in 2010 after practicing in the Burlington area I had the privilege of working with my father, Dr. Earl Olson until his retirement in 2019. Growing up in dentistry, I have been able to see what goes on behind the scenes of the dental chair. That being said, and possibly being a little partial due to my personal experience, I know first hand what it looks like to work in an office that provides not only high quality care to their patients as well as a home and safety net to their employees.
I do believe timing in life can be everything and shortly after my fatherââ¬â¢s retirement, Dr. Duboff approached me with the opportunity to join his practice. I had heard about the high quality of care his office had been offering to his patients and we also had met while practicing Yoga and Pilates. Over the years I have found my passion in teaching these modalities in my time outside of Dental Hygiene.
I began practicing with Dr. Duboff and his team of amazing humans November 2019. The team includes: Carol (office manager who can do anything and everything gifted from heaven), Karen (the rockstar front office Queen), Kris (fellow hygienist with a heart of gold) and Liza (Steveââ¬â¢s diamond of a sidekick assistant). All I can say is I walked into not just a team, a family. People who not only care about the patients they see, they care about each other and made me feel like I stepped back into my dental home, just like my dads.
To say the least, Dr. Steven Duboff is a gifted and talented dentist. He exemplifies dental and patient care meeting everyone exactly where they are with kindness and compassion. Not to mention his extremely contagious sense of humor, and simply a wonderful human being.
And so, needless to say, this note comes with a lot of thought and from my heart as I leave dentistry for now. I feel that itââ¬â¢s time for me to allow myself the space to follow my passion of teaching as well as helping my husband with his growing business. As we all know, we canââ¬â¢t do everything even when we try. However, this note is sent in hopes that I can pass this gem of an office onto someone who may also be looking to join a dental home, like me.
