We value teamwork, patient-centered care, and a positive working environment. We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Coordinator/Dental Assistant to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Treatment Coordinator to elevate our patient care experience and ensure seamless communication between our team and patients. In this role, you will guide patients through their treatment journey, explaining detailed treatment plans, associated costs, and financial options. Acting as a crucial liaison between the doctor and patient, youââ¬â¢ll ensure that patients have a clear understanding of their treatment options while also addressing their financial and insurance concerns. A warm, empathetic approach will help create a calm environment for patients who may feel anxious about treatment or affordability.
Responsibilities:
Assist the provider during patient procedures
Present and explain detailed treatment plans, including timelines and costs, to patients
Handle financial arrangements, including calculating fees, managing payment plans, and discussing insurance benefits
Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up correspondence with other specialists or medical professionals
Assist patients with insurance inquiries, financial concerns, and treatment objections
Be present during consultations to understand patient needs and support communication between the doctor and patient
Educate patients on their dental benefits and available treatment options
Chart examinations and procedures, and scribe notes of doctors' interactions with patients
Taking patient medical history and vital signs
Manage front office administrative tasks, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Restock supplies in treatment rooms
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care
Prior experience in a dental office is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Completion of an registered dental assistant certification is a plus.
Dental assisting experience is a plus.
X-Ray Certification is a plus.
Experience with Dentrix is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Passion for helping patients and learning new skills in a specialized field
