OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient assessment, and infection control protocols. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental care.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and conducting oral examinations.
Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient treatments and maintain accurate records in compliance with clinic protocols.
Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.
Implement aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control standards to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Assist in pediatric dentistry as needed, adapting approaches for younger patients.
Utilize Eaglesoft or similar systems for documentation and patient management.
Skills
Proficient in pediatric dentistry practices and techniques.
Strong skills in patient assessment and communication.
Knowledgeable in general dentistry procedures and best practices.
Experience with documentation review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ability to monitor vital signs effectively during patient care.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
Understanding of infection control measures within a dental clinic setting.
Proficient in using Eaglesoft or similar dental management systems.
