Job Description
Are you ready for a change and a new challenge? Our private practice is looking for an amazing full-time Expanded duty dental assistant or dental assistant to join our practice. We are an established practice that has been serving Thornton for 10 years with a reputation for quality and service. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, motivated, impeccable organization skills, and is growth as well as team minded. A minimum of 2 years of expanded dental assisting experience required or 1 year regular assisting experience. Duties- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures- Expose dental x-rays- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions- Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the dental office to OSHA standards- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using Open Dental- Perform dental receptionist duties, including answering phones, greeting patients, and handling paperwork as needed
-Coronal Polishing
Experience- Minimum of 1 or 2 year experience as a Dental Assistant or EDDA- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for dental diagnostics- Familiarity with aseptic technique for infection control in the dental office- Understanding of dental anatomy and terminology- Knowledge of dental coding

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program- Current CPR certification- X-ray certification (required)- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
