Job Description
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. You will diagnose and treat various dental conditions and work closely with our team to deliver exceptional oral healthcare.
Duties:- Perform patient assessments, including oral examinations, medical history reviews, and X-rays- Diagnose dental conditions and develop treatment plans- Administer local anesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care techniques- Collaborate with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record systems such as Dentrix or Epic- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development
Experience:- Proven experience as a Dentist or in a similar role- In-depth knowledge of dental procedures, techniques, and equipment- Strong understanding of patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning- Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and medical documentation practices- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Dentrix or Epic- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively explain complex dental procedures to patients
Requirements:- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school- Valid state dental license in good standing- CPR certification- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity- Ability to work well within a team environment
