Job Description

We are searching for a passionate and bilingual (English and Spanish) Dental Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a positive patient experience by assisting the dentist with a variety of procedures, maintaining the dental operatory, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:

Prepare dental operatories for procedures by setting up instruments, equipment, and materials.
Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and retracting.
Ensure aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment.
Patient Care:
Greet patients, take medical histories, and update patient charts.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining procedures and answering questions.
Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care.
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Administrative Duties:
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
Stock dental supplies and maintain inventory.
Process dental x-rays (depending on state regulations).
Assist with insurance verification and billing (as permitted by law).
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient accounts.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish.
Clearly document dental procedures and patient interactions in patient charts.
Collaborate effectively with the dentist, hygienists, and other dental team members.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant (preferred).
Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a requirement for this position.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program or possess a relevant certification (preferred).
Must be proficient in dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Must be able to comply with all OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
CPR certification is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per year

Monday to Friday
