Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Take and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Apply aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Stay updated on dental terminology and medical coding to facilitate effective communication with patients and insurance providers.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
ExperienceCandidates should possess:
A valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is advantageous.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
