Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient comfort, and adhering to all safety and health regulations.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
Take and develop X-rays as needed while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records within our systems.
Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during visits.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when necessary.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry or endodontics setting is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA regulations.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in Dental Assisting is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Proficiency in using dental systems for record keeping and appointment management.

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
