Description: Job Title: Dental Assistant Job Type: Full-time Location: Deerfield, Illinois We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Endodontist in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities You will ensure excellent patient service and manage administrative and basic dental tasks to support the Endodontist. Focused on patient care, you’ll answer patients' needs, concerns, and questions, ensuring they are relaxed and comfortable during their visit. Responsibilities include: Welcoming patients to the dental office Preparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort Selecting and setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies Sterilizing instruments according to regulations Assisting the dentist with 4-handed dentistry Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked Scheduling appointments and post-op visits Maintaining accurate patient records Assisting with payment procedures Must be able to work four, ten-hour shifts a week As a vital member of our office, you will also help facilitate and coordinate other office responsibilities as needed. Requirements: You are a resourceful Dental Assistant who is passionate about helping patients receive exceptional care and supporting the Dentist. You are motivated by seeing patients leave healthier, happier, and more comfortable. A kind, collaborative problem-solver, you can adjust proactively to shifting priorities and value the opportunity to make a positive impact. You also have the following qualifications: At least 1-2 years of proven experience as a Dental Assistant; specialty experience is preferred Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks Good computer skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law) Active state radiology license (if required by law) If this sounds like you, you will fit right in with our team!
