Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our dental professionals while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients. Your expertise in pediatric dentistry and dental assisting will be crucial in helping us deliver high-quality dental care.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain strict infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Record patient information accurately, including medical history and treatment plans, using dental software.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in pediatric dentistry.

Requirements

Proficiency in medical terminology and dental terminology, with a solid understanding of pediatric dentistry principles.
Experience or knowledge in infection control practices.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and their families.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Certification in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
A commitment to providing exceptional care in a pediatric setting.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
