OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team for One Day per week to start. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene care to our patients while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment. This role is essential in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental care practices.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Assist dentists during procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Provide education and guidance to patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and preventive care.
Work with pediatric patients, adapting techniques to ensure comfort and understanding.
Collaborate effectively with the dental team in a busy clinic setting, supporting general dentistry practices.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Experience in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
Strong knowledge of infection control standards and procedures.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Previous experience assisting in pediatric dentistry is an advantage but not mandatory.
