Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. This position requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and patient management systems. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and dental professionals to ensure a comfortable and effective treatment experience.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients.
Administer local anesthesia as needed and monitor vital signs during procedures.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Utilize dental software systems, Dentrix for patient records management.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Conduct periodontal assessments and charting as required.
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in using dental office software systems, particularly Dentrix.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Experience in providing patient care in a dental office setting is preferred.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond to patient needs effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
Previous experience assisting in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
