Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a kind, friendly, dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our family-oriented periodontal practice on Thursdays, 8:30am to 4pm starting in January 2025. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our long term patient base, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety, in our supportive and warm team environment. We are looking for a personable team member with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Communicate effectively with kindness, respect and care
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
Skills
Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control practices
Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures
Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and provide appropriate care recommendations
Familiarity with Softdent CareStream cloud or similar dental practice management software is a plus
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health maintenance
Strong organizational skills for documentation review and record keeping
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $56.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
