Responsibilities and Duties:

Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
Capture, process and mount digital dental radiographs
Administer local anesthesia
Assist the dentist during examinations 
Record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patient 
Assist in the oral health management of patients
Obtain and document baseline oral hygiene assessment data 
Provide oral health education and counseling for all patients
Counsel patients on nutrition as related to oral hygiene 
Work towards the integration of appropriate dental hygiene care with other health care professional involved in the patients’ health care management 
Utilize the intra-oral camera with patients indicating suspicious areas for the doctor to review 
Discuss optimal Dental Health with patient and the importance of cleanings and exams 
Work closely with the guidelines of the dentist in order to schedule perio exams, treatment, etc. 
Participate in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service
Qualifications and Skills

Minimum Requirements:

Current California RDH Certificate
CPR/BLS Certificate
Continuing Education Courses to keep up with licensure in the State of California
Good communication skills (English a must, second language a plus)

Pay: $66.00 - $68.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
