OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional services. Must have great communications skills and a team player. Knowledge of Dentrix and Spanish speaking is a plus. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Additional days is a possibly.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures using appropriate techniques.
Utilize medical imaging technology to capture high-quality radiographs and intra-oral pictures for diagnostic purposes.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in pediatric dentistry by providing care tailored to younger patients.
Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
Document patient information accurately in Dentrix or other dental office systems.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans and provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in general dentistry is preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Proficient in medical imaging techniques and equipment.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
Excellent patient assessment skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while assisting other dental professionals as needed.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental office management systems is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care.
