Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing thorough assessments, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role is essential in ensuring optimal oral health for our patients and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate oral health and hygiene.
Perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe treatment environment.
Take medical imaging as needed, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Monitor and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with infection control standards and protocols.
Proficient in medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $51.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 ââ¬â 24 per week
