Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team.
We are an established one doctor general and cosmetic dentistry practice for adults. We have a beautiful office with a great team that truly enjoys working with each other. One of our long time RDH is retiring after 17 years with our office and we are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our team. You will have a maximum of 8 patient's per day, one hour per patient and no double booking. Our ideal team member has a positive attitude, easily develops rapport with their patients, and has a gentle hand. This position is available one, two or three (or 4 if you choose) days a week. Days are very flexible. Office hours are Mon thru Thurs 7:45am to 5pm. Closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Compensation is $65+hr. plus regular bonus. Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment.
Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for patient management and documentation.

Skills

Knowledge of infection control procedures and protocols.
Experience in a dental office setting.
Proficiency in imaging techniques relevant to dental care.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work efficiently within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
