Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures, along with proficiency in using dental technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining an organized clinical environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Manage patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently to optimize clinic operations.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and medical coding as needed.
Maintain knowledge of prosthodontics and other specialized areas of dentistry to assist effectively.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
Proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential.
Experience with 3D scanning technology and medical imaging is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required for maintaining clinical efficiency.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
